S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 receives Cost of Hope expansion and major update

GSC Game World has released “Cost of Hope,” a major expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. This large-scale downloadable content (DLC) provides dozens of hours of gameplay and introduces two new regions, each featuring unique hubs, quests, and activities.

Alongside the expansion, the game has received Update 2.0, which migrates the title to Unreal Engine 5.5.4. This update includes significant visual and systemic overhauls, such as improved lighting, enhanced AI, new weapons, attachments, and highly customizable difficulty settings.

Sega announced that the expansion is available as a standalone purchase or as part of the “Ultimate Edition.” Additionally, a limited-time 30% discount is being applied to various editions of the base game across digital storefronts.
