Stalowa Wola municipal services defend winter road maintenance efforts

The Miejski Zakład Komunalny (MZK) in Stalowa Wola has responded to public complaints regarding snow removal and icy road conditions during recent winter weather. Radosław Sagatowski, president of MZK, stated that the company has mobilized all available resources, including six snowplows, seven tractors, and ATVs, supplemented by staff from other municipal departments such as water, greenery, and heating utilities.

Sagatowski clarified that MZK is responsible for 150 kilometers of municipal roads, including sidewalks, bike paths, and bus stops. He noted that the complexity of road management in the city—involving municipal, county, provincial, and national authorities, as well as housing cooperatives—impacts maintenance logistics. By mid-February, the company reported using 1,150 tons of salt and 1,400 tons of sand to maintain road safety standards.
