Stamen Belchev appointed manager of Kaisar Kyzylorda

Bulgarian football coach Stamen Belchev is set to take over as the manager of Kaisar Kyzylorda in the Kazakhstan Premier League. The 57-year-old specialist is expected to arrive in Kazakhstan in the coming days to sign his contract and be officially presented to the media.

Belchev replaces Andrey Ferapontov, who was dismissed in late August following a series of poor results. This appointment marks Belchev’s first coaching role outside of Bulgaria. His previous experience includes managing Bulgarian clubs such as CSKA, Arda Kardzhali, Haskovo, and Septemvri Sofia.

Kaisar Kyzylorda currently sits at the bottom of the league standings in 16th place with 20 points, fighting to avoid relegation. The club has a history of employing Bulgarian coaching staff, notably winning the Kazakhstan Cup in 2019 under the leadership of Stoycho Mladenov. The team’s star player is former Chelsea and Inter Milan forward Victor Moses.
