Stan Dorsainvil wins UFC debut via unanimous decision

Stan Dorsainvil secured a unanimous decision victory over Gauge Young during his UFC debut at UFC Sacramento. Fighting at the Golden 1 Center on Saturday, August 22, Dorsainvil stepped in on short notice to replace Kody Steele.

The bout began with significant momentum for Young, who utilized leg kicks, a teep, and a heavy overhand right to stun Dorsainvil. Young also executed a throw that led to effective ground-and-pound, briefly putting the newcomer in a precarious position.

Despite the early damage, Dorsainvil maintained a relentless pace and forced pocket exchanges. The momentum shifted in the second round as Dorsainvil utilized combinations and clinch work to wear down Young, ending the round with a takedown. All three judges scored the bout 29-28 in favor of Dorsainvil.
