Stan Druckenmiller invests in Trade.xyz as ICE forms partnership
Billionaire investor Stan Druckenmiller, founder of Duquesne Capital Management, has confirmed an investment in Trade.xyz, a platform specializing in perpetual futures on real-world assets. Druckenmiller announced the move on X, stating he intends to use the platform’s offerings to enhance his own investment strategy, though the specific terms of his stake were not disclosed.
Simultaneously, Trade.xyz revealed a collaboration with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange. Under this agreement, ICE will take a minority stake in Trade.xyz and serve as the exclusive operator of the platform’s regulated markets. The partnership aims to introduce 24/7 perpetual futures trading for US-based customers by leveraging Trade.xyz’s integration with Hyperliquid infrastructure.
Jeffrey Sprecher, Chair and CEO of ICE, noted that these perpetual markets are intended to be additive to existing futures markets rather than a replacement. The move highlights increasing interest from traditional financial institutions in on-chain derivative markets.
