Stan Wawrinka to hold farewell event in Geneva in December

Swiss tennis star Stan Wawrinka announced that he will retire after the 2025 season and will mark the end of his 20‑year professional career with a farewell event titled “One Last Backhand”. The ceremony is scheduled for 19 December at the Palexpo exhibition centre in Geneva.

Wawrinka shared the news on Instagram, saying, “After more than 20 years on tour, the time has come for me to close this chapter.” He will be joined by fellow tennis greats Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Gaël Monfils, who have been invited to share the final night with him and his supporters.
