Stand Restaurant named Restaurant of the Year at Dining Guide 2026

Stand Restaurant, led by Tamás Széll and head chef Benjamin Morris, has been named the Restaurant of the Year at the Dining Guide 2026 awards in Budapest. The establishment also received the ‘Best of the Best’ title for the fifth time, an honor reserved for venues that have achieved top category rankings at least three times.

The award recognizes the restaurant's performance under a new professional structure implemented in October 2025, following the absence of co-owner Szabina Szulló. Stand was selected ahead of other notable competitors, including Rumour by Jenő Rácz and Borkonyha by Ákos Sárközi.

Other major winners at the gala included Cova Budapest as the Most Promising Restaurant, Alkimista Kulináris Műhely for Innovative Kitchen, and Márton Tatai of Hoppá! Bistro as Chef of the Year. Adam Berecz from Sulyom was named Young Chef Talent, Krisztián Juhász as Sommelier of the Year, and Zsolt Király as Service Person of the Year.
