Stand With Crypto announces 2026 U.S. election endorsements
Stand With Crypto, an advocacy group backed by Coinbase, has announced its first round of political endorsements for the 2026 U.S. midterm elections. The move signals a strategic shift for the digital asset industry, moving its focus from direct legislative lobbying in Congress to influencing the electoral process following the failure of the CLARITY Act.
The group’s Senate endorsements include Republicans Jon Husted in Ohio and Ashley Hinson in Iowa, as well as Democrat Chris Pappas in New Hampshire. This bipartisan approach aims to cultivate allies across the political spectrum to secure a legislative majority capable of advancing crypto-related regulatory frameworks.
In addition to Senate races, the organization indicated support for several House candidates, including Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa and Shomari Figures in Alabama. The industry's increased political involvement follows a period of legislative stagnation regarding market structure and regulatory clarity for digital assets.
