Stand With Crypto endorses 32 House lawmakers for 2026 midterms

Stand With Crypto, an advocacy group backed by Coinbase, has endorsed 32 incumbent U.S. House lawmakers for the 2026 midterm elections. The group is targeting candidates who previously voted to advance the CLARITY Act, a piece of legislation intended to establish federal rules for digital assets and define regulatory boundaries between the SEC and the CFTC.

The endorsements include members from both major parties, such as Republicans Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, and Democrats Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer. The group aims to leverage its more than 3 million registered advocates to influence election outcomes in competitive districts.

This political push comes as the CLARITY Act remains stalled in the Senate. The crypto industry has reportedly invested nearly $200 million in the midterm elections to advocate for clearer regulatory frameworks. Stand With Crypto Executive Director Mason Lynaugh stated that the organization is moving from proving the existence of a crypto voting bloc to demonstrating its capacity to organize and influence policy.
