Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Announces GH¢673m Dividend at AGM

Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC declared a total dividend of GH¢673.48 million at its 56th Annual General Meeting in Accra, comprising a final ordinary dividend of GH¢4.989 per share (GH¢672.35 million) and a preference dividend of GH¢1.13 million. The payout coincides with the bank’s 130‑year anniversary of operations in Ghana.

Chairman Ebenezer Twum Asante highlighted the bank’s confidence in Ghana’s improving macro‑economic outlook and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering long‑term shareholder value. Chief Executive Xorse Godzi emphasized the bank’s role as a “super‑connector,” leveraging its international network to support Ghanaian clients and drive sustainable growth.

The dividend announcement is intended to reinforce investor confidence and signal optimism for the bank’s future performance amid global economic uncertainties.
