Standard Chartered maintains strategic partnership and $28 XRP target
Standard Chartered maintains a long-standing strategic relationship with Ripple, dating back to 2015. The bank made a strategic investment in Ripple in 2016 and has since utilized Ripple technology for cross-border business payments and real-money settlements involving various international entities.
In its 2026 investor presentation, Standard Chartered continues to list Ripple as a strategic investment, identifying “Ripple for payments” as part of its broader digital asset strategy. The bank aims to act as a “Super-Connector” between traditional banking and various blockchain networks, including CBDCs and tokenized assets.
Regarding market outlook, Standard Chartered’s crypto desk has maintained a long-term price target of $28 for XRP by 2030. This outlook is supported by developments in the XRP Ledger, such as privacy and batch settlement tools, as well as the presence of XRP ETFs holding over $666 million.
