Standard Chartered VCC platform reaches $2.6 billion in assets
Standard Chartered has surpassed $2.6 billion in assets under management (AUM) on its Variable Capital Company (VCC) platform. This milestone coincides with the launch of its tenth sub-fund, the Signature Select Premium Cash Reserve Fund, developed in partnership with BNY Investments.
The new fund, managed by Insight Investment, is designed for accredited and professional investors across several regions, including Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE, Jersey, Kenya, and Nigeria. It aims to provide returns above the Secured Overnight Financing Rate by investing in high-quality, short-term fixed-income and money market instruments.
In Kenya, the platform has already reached 2.5 billion KES in managed assets since its recent expansion. While the wealth management segment shows growth, Standard Chartered Bank Kenya reported a 16.83 percent decrease in net profit to 6.73 billion KES for the first half of 2026, partly due to lower interest rates impacting earnings.
