Italy daylight saving time ends October 25, 2026
In the night between Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, Italy will transition from daylight saving time to standard time. Clocks will be set back one hour, moving from 3:00 to 2:00.
Digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers will update automatically via internet synchronization. However, analog clocks and certain manual household appliances will require manual adjustment. This shift results in longer nights and earlier sunsets, which can impact daily routines, travel schedules, and international time zone coordination.
Medical experts note that the change can cause temporary physiological disturbances, described by Luigi Ferini-Strambi as a “mini jet lag,” including drowsiness, irritability, and mood variations. To mitigate these effects, nutritionists suggest consuming foods rich in beta-carotene, such as pumpkin and orange vegetables, alongside legumes and whole grains to maintain energy levels during the transition.
