Stanford defeats Elon 34-7 in homecoming football matchup

Stanford University defeated Elon University 34-7 during their Reunion Homecoming game at Stanford Stadium. The victory marks the first-ever matchup between the two football programs.

Running back Micah Ford led the Cardinal offense, tying a school record by scoring four rushing touchdowns. His performance included an 81-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Stanford's offense tallied 34 points, their second-highest scoring game of the season.

Head coach Tavita Pritchard noted that while the win was positive, the team needed to improve their energy and focus, particularly in the first half. The Stanford defense limited the Phoenix to seven points. Stanford (3-4) will next host NC State.
