STANIA and Asahi Solder partner to boost Indonesia tin downstreaming
PT Solder Tin Andalan Indonesia (STANIA), a subsidiary of PT Arsari Tambang, and Singapore-based Asahi Chemical & Solder Industries Pte. Ltd. (Asahi Solder) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance Indonesia’s tin downstreaming industry.
The partnership aims to develop higher-value solder products, improve technological and quality capabilities, and expand market access. The agreement was signed at the STANIA factory in Batam, which began operations in July 2025 with an initial annual production capacity of 2,000 tonnes.
This collaboration is part of the Arsari Group’s strategy to build an integrated industrial ecosystem. According to Aryo P. S. Djojohadikusumo, CEO of PT Arsari Tambang, the initiative seeks to connect natural resources to advanced manufacturing and future technologies, including the development of an artificial intelligence ecosystem and potential GPU assembly capabilities in Indonesia.
