Stanisław Soyka mural unveiled in Gliwice

A new mural dedicated to musician Stanisław Soyka has been unveiled in Gliwice, Poland. Titled ‘Zobacz we mnie człowieka’ (See the Human in Me), the artwork was created by Sebastian Berus.

The mural is located on a historic building at 6 Królowej Bony Street, currently housing Municipal Kindergarten No. 23. The location holds personal significance for the artist, as he lived nearby and began his musical journey in the city, studying violin and singing in local choirs.

The composition features a portrait of Soyka alongside the word ‘Tolerancja’ (Tolerance), a reference to one of his most famous songs, and motifs inspired by piano keys. The unveiling ceremony on September 20 included live music and a communal singing of ‘Tolerancja’. The mural was hand-painted using weather-resistant facade paints and includes integrated lighting.
