Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina launches capital market and crypto services reform

The Federal Ministry of Finance of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has submitted two draft laws – one on the capital market and another on providers of virtual‑asset services (VASP) – to a public consultation. The proposals aim to bring the regulatory framework in line with European Union standards, increase market transparency, strengthen investor protection and create a modern, secure environment for domestic and foreign investment. A third draft, the Law on the Securities Commission, is being finalised. All three drafts are scheduled to be forwarded to the legislative procedure in September after the consultation period. The reforms also contain provisions to boost the independence and capacity of the financial regulator. Federal Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister Toni Kraljević said the measures represent a “important step toward a modern, secure and competitive financial market, aligned with European standards.”
