Stanley Druckenmiller shifts focus to AMD and crypto equities

Stanley Druckenmiller’s Duquesne Family Office reported approximately $5.2 billion in U.S. equity holdings at the end of the second quarter. The firm’s recent filings show a shift in semiconductor and cryptocurrency-related investments.

Druckenmiller exited previous positions in Intel, Micron, and Broadcom, which had been initiated in the first quarter. In their place, the office opened a new position in Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). While the investor remains selective regarding artificial intelligence due to elevated valuations, the move toward AMD follows the upcoming launch of a major new data center product.

In the digital asset space, Duquesne revealed a total crypto-related equity allocation of roughly $87.8 million. This includes a $64.7 million stake in Bitcoin mining firm Bitdeer Technologies and a $23.15 million position in Hyperliquid Strategies Inc. The latter serves as a treasury vehicle for the Hyperliquid protocol. These moves suggest a strategy of building a diversified crypto equity book through public markets.
