Star Alliance to open new Incheon Airport lounge

Star Alliance and the Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a dedicated Star Alliance lounge at Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport. The new facility will occupy the space currently used by the Asiana Airlines Business Lounge (West).

This transition is a response to the upcoming integration of Asiana Airlines with Korean Air. As part of this merger, Asiana Airlines is scheduled to exit the Star Alliance on December 16, 2026. The new branded lounge is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026 to ensure uninterrupted premium service for eligible passengers.

The lounge will serve passengers traveling on 14 Star Alliance member airlines operating at Incheon, providing connections to 29 destinations worldwide. It will be accessible to Star Alliance Gold members as well as first and business class passengers. This will mark the seventh Star Alliance-branded lounge globally.
