Star Bulk Carriers to launch dual listing on Euronext Athens and Nasdaq

Star Bulk Carriers Corp., the largest US-listed dry bulk shipping company by market value and fleet capacity, is proceeding with a dual listing on Euronext Athens and Nasdaq. The company plans to conduct a public offering of new shares in Greece to raise up to €112.2 million.

The capital raised is intended to support the company’s investment plan for fleet enhancement and upgrades. The public offering is scheduled to take place between September 9 and September 11, 2026, with trading on the Euronext Athens expected to commence on September 16, 2026. The company will use the same ticker symbol, ‘SBLK’, in both markets.

Star Bulk Chairman Spyros Kapralos described the move as a strategic decision reflecting the company’s international footprint and Greek roots. Founder and CEO Petros Pappas noted that the expansion into the European capital market marks a milestone in the company’s 20-year history, aimed at diversifying the shareholder base and increasing liquidity.
