Star Bulk Carriers plans dual listing on Euronext Athens
Star Bulk Carriers Corp. is planning a dual listing on Euronext Athens while maintaining its primary presence on the New York Stock Exchange. The move is expected to include a public offering of approximately €100 million.
Following the precedent set by Safe Bulkers, this strategic decision aims to provide the company with access to two distinct investor bases and potentially enhance stock liquidity. The shipping giant, controlled by Petros Pappas, operates a fleet of nearly 150 vessels and holds a market capitalization of approximately $3.47 billion.
Market reports suggest the public offering process could begin on September 9 and conclude by September 11, 2026. This expansion into the Greek capital market follows a period of strong financial performance for the company, driven by rising dry bulk freight rates and increased earnings.
