Star Bulk raises €656 million in Euronext Athens debut

Star Bulk Carriers Corp. has successfully completed a public offering on the Euronext Athens regulated market, raising €656 million. The offering was oversubscribed by more than six times, attracting interest from over 7,500 investors.

The company announced that the opening trading price on Euronext Athens will be €27.05 per share. This figure was determined based on the Nasdaq closing price of $31.21 on September 15, 2026, converted to euros using the European Central Bank reference exchange rate.

Star Bulk intends to use the proceeds to fund its shipbuilding program for three Kamsarmax vessels, scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026, as well as for the acquisition of additional vessels. The company currently operates a fleet of 145 bulk carriers valued at $4.5 billion.
