Star Clippers announces record Mediterranean route expansion for 2027

Star Clippers, the world’s largest provider of sailing cruises, has announced a record expansion for its 2027 Mediterranean season. The company plans to visit nearly 30 ports for the first time using its three large sailing ships: Royal Clipper, Star Clipper, and Star Flyer.

In the eastern Mediterranean, new routes include the Dalyan River delta, the Greek island of Kastelorizo, Cesme, and the Turkish island of Bozcaada. In the western Mediterranean, the expanded program features destinations such as Menton on the Côte d’Azur, Cefalú in Sicily, and Carloforte in Sardinia.

CEO Leo Chang stated that the new ports were added to provide guests with unique experiences beyond mass tourism. The vessels will operate from various starting points, including Nice, Rome, Athens, Istanbul, Venice, and Antalya.
