Star Fox remake launches on Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo and Velan Studios released a full remake of the classic Star Fox 64 for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The new version updates graphics, adds new cinematics and introduces an online multiplayer battle mode.

The multiplayer mode features three distinct arenas – Corneria, Fichina and Sector Y – each with its own objectives, such as satellite control, meteor‑shower collection and cargo recovery. Players can track positions on an on‑screen radar, coordinate with teammates and collect power‑up items to gain an advantage.

The release follows a preview that highlighted the game's technical improvements and the potential for future titles in the franchise.
