Star Meat Delivery recalls 167,000 pounds of meat

Star Meat Delivery Inc., based in Lucama, North Carolina, is recalling approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat products. The recall was initiated after the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) discovered the products were produced without federal inspection but bore a false USDA inspection mark with establishment number ‘EST. 1363’.

The affected meat was vacuum-sealed in cardboard boxes and distributed to A&D Foods in Georgia, which then shipped the products to retail and restaurant locations across the United States. The products were manufactured on various dates prior to September 22, 2026.

FSIS warns that while bulk boxes bear the false establishment number, individual consumer packages may not, as retailers may have applied their own labels. Affected items include various cuts such as beef oxtail, pork chorizo, pork chops, goat cuts, and beef short ribs. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury, but officials warn that uninspected meat may contain harmful bacteria or undeclared allergens. Consumers are urged not to eat the products and should instead throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
