Star Starachowice celebrates centenary as Stal Trinec extends winning streak

Star Starachowice celebrated its 100th anniversary with a jubilee match against Widzew Łódź. Despite the celebratory atmosphere and friendly relations between the fanbases, Widzew secured a dominant 6-0 victory. To facilitate the event, Star Starachowice officials made the controversial decision to forfeit a league match against Partyzant Radoszyce after the latter refused to reschedule their meeting.

In Czech ice hockey, Stal Trinec extended its winning streak to seven consecutive games in the Tipsport Extraliga following a 3-2 victory over Verva Litvinov. The match featured significant tension, including a fight in the second period that resulted in penalties for both sides. Trinec managed to maintain their undefeated run despite scoring goals while playing shorthanded.
