Star Starachowice defeats Korona Kielce II 4-1 in regional derby

Star Starachowice secured a 4-1 victory against Korona Kielce II in a regional derby during the 13th round of the Betclic 3. Liga. Szymon Stanisławski scored twice, while Eryk Galara and Jakub Karbownik provided the remaining goals for the hosts. Janusz Nojszewski scored the lone goal for the visitors.

Despite the win, Star Starachowice faces internal challenges, including reported financial difficulties and unpaid wages to players. The match began without organized fan support due to dissatisfaction with the team's recent performance. During the match, Star finished with nine players after Kornel Toboła and Konrad Ciszek each received red cards following second yellow bookings.

Star's coach, Dariusz Pietrasiak, noted that while the team started slowly, they managed to capitalize on opportunities after halftime. Korona II coach Arkadiusz Adach attributed the result to his team's reactive playstyle after conceding early goals.
