Star Trek and Magic: The Gathering announce crossover set
As Star Trek approaches its 60th anniversary, Wizards of the Coast has revealed details for a crossover set with the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. Scheduled for release on November 13, 2026, the set will feature content spanning nearly every incarnation of the franchise, from The Original Series to more recent installments.
A key feature of the collection includes seven different signed headliner cards. These cards, which feature portrait-style depictions of characters, were physically signed by iconic Star Trek actors and are randomly inserted into Collector Boosters. Each signed card has fewer than 250 copies in existence.
The franchise's legacy continues through various media, including the recent premiere of Starfleet Academy on Paramount+. The history of the series is marked by significant cultural milestones, such as the role of Nichelle Nichols as Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, which served as a vital role model for representation on television.
