Star Trek franchise updates: Amazon discounts collectibles and William Shatner remains active

The Star Trek franchise continues to see activity across various media. In the collectibles market, Amazon has reduced the preorder price of Star Trek Play Booster Boxes for Magic: The Gathering by 33%, bringing the cost down from $210 to $140. This price drop occurs ahead of the product's debut stream.

Regarding the franchise's legacy, William Shatner, who portrayed Captain James T. Kirk in the original series, remains active at age 95. Shatner, who previously became the oldest person to cross the Kármán line during a 2021 Blue Origin mission, continues to participate in public life through his podcast ‘No Time But Now’ and musical performances.
