Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 finale and spin-off updates

The fourth season of ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ is approaching its conclusion. The season finale, titled ‘Tomorrow’s Enterprise,’ is scheduled to premiere on September 24, 2026, on Paramount Plus. Following the established weekly release pattern, the episode will be available at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT.

Regarding future expansions of the franchise, co-showrunner Akiva Goldsman has expressed doubt that the proposed ‘Star Trek: Year One’ series will materialize. The concept was intended to serve as a bridge between ‘Strange New Worlds’ and the original series, focusing on the beginning of James T. Kirk’s five-year mission. Goldsman noted that the loss of various production assets, which were previously auctioned off, makes continuing the series more difficult, though he remains open to the possibility of a two-hour movie.
