Star Trek: The Last Starship comic series to conclude in October

The IDW comic book series ‘Star Trek: The Last Starship’ is approaching its conclusion with issue #12 scheduled for release in October. Written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, the prestige maxi-series explores the aftermath of ‘The Burn’ and features a resurrected Captain James T. Kirk in the 31st century.

Creators Kelly and Lanzing stated that the 12-issue run was always the intended length for the series, designed to cover 100 years of the timeline through four distinct chapters. The final arc focuses on the alliance between Kirk and Captain Delacourt Sato as they attempt to prevent the destruction of the galaxy.
