Star Truck Korea hosts test drive for New Arocs Dump

Star Truck Korea, the official importer of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, recently held a two-day on-and-off-road test drive event for the New Arocs 4153K Single Reduction Dump. The program allowed participants to experience the vehicle's performance, stability, and driver convenience in various real-world environments.

The New Arocs 4153K features a 3rd generation OM471 six-cylinder engine producing 530 horsepower and 265 kg·m of torque, paired with an MPS3 12-speed automatic transmission. Designed for high-load operations in South Korea, the truck includes a 41-ton class weight design, reinforced frames, and Hardox material cargo beds.

Safety and assistance technologies include Active Brake Assist 6 Plus, Active Sideguard Assist 2, and Predictive Powertrain Control Plus (PPC+). The PPC+ system utilizes GPS and 3D map data to predict terrain and adjust speed and gear shifts, which the company estimates can reduce fuel consumption by up to 5% compared to models without the feature.

Star Truck Korea also announced support services such as the ‘StarCare 5+ Tipper’ for maintenance and a connectivity service called Fleetboard. The company plans to expand customer experience programs, including a mobile test drive service for those unable to attend the recent event.
