Stará Ľubovňa: Body of missing 17-year-old girl discovered

A search for a 17-year-old girl, identified as Miška, ended tragically in Stará Ľubovňa after her body was discovered on Monday morning. The teenager had been missing since Saturday night around 10:00 PM.

Her grandmother, Margita, noted that the girl had left the house wearing only pajamas and had her phone turned off. While the family was initially not concerned because she had left the house without notice before, anxiety grew when she failed to return on Sunday. Police had officially listed her as a missing person.

The body was found between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM by workers performing public service tasks near garages on the other side of a stream, approximately 200 meters from her home. Emergency services, including police, firefighters, and paramedics, attended the scene, but medical professionals could not revive her.

The family suspects the death may have been violent. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
