The new Star Wars movie, "The Mandalorian and Grogu," released on May 22, included on‑location filming at Caddo Lake, which spans Louisiana and Texas. Disney’s crew worked with Captain Ron’s Swamp Tours, staying at the Uncertain Lodge and using a barge brought from Miami to access the lake’s Cypress groves. Tour operator Jean Rhodes‑Werneck noted the crew followed pictures of specific sites, such as Pine Island Pond, and that a replica of the lake was later built in Los Angeles for interior shots.

During a fan‑theory breakdown with Entertainment Weekly, director Jon Favreau and series creator Dave Filoni responded to a user’s speculation about a post‑credits scene that might show an older Grogu. Favreau said, “There are things that 4thelore has brought up that we have actually…,” and clarified, “Saying a flash forward, that you would get a glimpse of the future.” Filoni added, “He’s not that far,” indicating the idea of a future glimpse remains plausible but unconfirmed.
