Star Wars: Galactic Racer gameplay reveal set for Oct 6 2026 launch

Fuse Games released a 15‑minute campaign gameplay video for the upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Racer, slated to launch on October 6, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The preview, shown on IGN’s YouTube channel, displays the first act on the planet Jakku, where players create a vehicle loadout, purchase parts in a shop, and race with mechanics that blend traditional pod‑racing with combat‑style wrecking.

The game also introduces roguelike elements: a randomized campaign map, severe penalties for crashes that send racers back to the start of an act, and high‑risk modes such as the "Eliminator" where only the top three survive. Studio founder and CEO Matt Webster explained that the design aims to make racing decisions consequential, moving the genre beyond safety‑net features found in other titles.
