Star Wars: Galactic Racer reveals high-speed gameplay details

Fuse Games has released new gameplay details for the upcoming racing title, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, scheduled for release on October 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

A recent trailer highlights the Speeder Bikes class, described as the most aggressive vehicle type in the game. While offering extreme acceleration and maneuverability, these bikes feature fragile frames. According to developer Matt Hansen, players must manage a Ramjet system that generates heat; excessive use can cause the vehicle to break apart, forcing a tactical balance between speed and control.

Game Director Bill Lane and Design Director Mark Bridges noted the technical challenge of conveying high speeds to players. Vehicles in the game are expected to reach velocities between 300 and 1,000 km/h. Because the vehicles hover above the ground, the developers are focusing on creating a unique sense of speed that differs from traditional wheeled racing games.
