Star Wars: Galactic Racer set for Oct 6 2026 release after new Summer Game Fest trailer
Fuse Games, a Guildford‑based studio founded by former Criterion senior staff, together with publisher Secret Mode unveiled a new trailer for Star Wars: Galactic Racer at the Summer Game Fest. The trailer revealed the game's setting in the Galactic League, an illegal racing circuit on the Outer Rim, and introduced the protagonist Shade, who challenges champion Kestar Bool.
The game will launch on 6 October 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It offers a campaign with branching events, new locations such as Derven Acos (also called Dervin Tokoss), and a mix of podracers, land‑speeder‑style vehicles and new “skim speeders”. Players can customise ships and earn upgrades through a “Hibi” equipment system.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be released in three editions – a Standard version, a Deluxe version with extra vehicles, livery packs and an art book, and a limited Collector’s Edition that includes a metal model and a larger art book. It marks the first Star Wars racing title since 2002, aiming at fans of the classic 1999 Podracer game.
