Star Wars: Galactic Racer trailer reveals fierce rivalries and new world Derven Acos ahead of Oct 6, 2026 launch
At Summer Game Fest 2026 a new story trailer for Star Wars: Galactic Racer was released. The footage highlights the central conflict between Galactic League champion Kestar Bool and the mysterious challenger Shade, who is recruited by league founder Darius Pax to dethrone the corrupt champion. The trailer also introduces the new arena Derven Acos, a custom‑built gauntlet that combines multiple planetary hazards, and confirms the return of the iconic podracer Sebulba.
Gameplay is presented as a runs‑based campaign with roguelike elements: players choose events, earn unlocks, and must restart a run if their vehicle crashes too many times, carrying over selected upgrades. Pod racing expands beyond the Mos Espa circuit to additional locations, and a paddock hub lets racers interact with the engineer Hibi to customize their vehicles. The game will launch worldwide on October 6, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with Standard, Deluxe and a limited Collector’s Edition available for pre‑order.
