Star Wars: The Clone Wars to continue in 2027

Lucasfilm has announced that the Star Wars animated series ‘The Clone Wars’ will officially continue in 2027. During the Disney Studio Showcase Panel at the D23 fan event, a trailer was unveiled for the upcoming season, featuring Hayden Christensen returning as Anakin Skywalker alongside Ariana Greenblatt as a younger Ahsoka Tano.

The new content appears to revisit pivotal moments from the original animated series, including Ahsoka’s departure from the Jedi Order.

Separately, actor Hayden Christensen has expressed openness to the possibility of a live-action remake of ‘The Clone Wars’. In a recent interview, Christensen suggested that original cast members such as Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Samuel L. Jackson might be interested in reuniting for such a project, noting that digital de-aging technology could facilitate the portrayal of younger versions of the characters.
