Star Wars vending machine theft in Pittsburgh linked to content creator

A 1999 Star Wars: The Phantom Menace-themed vending machine, featuring Anakin Skywalker, was reported missing from outside a fire station in Mount Washington, Pittsburgh. The disappearance prompted Lucasfilm to use social media to ask the public for information regarding the item's whereabouts.

Content creator Braeden Days has since claimed responsibility for taking the machine. In an Instagram video, Days stated the removal was a stunt motivated by the fact that the machine had been broken for three years, despite allegations that Pepsi had provided $10,000 to keep it stocked. Days indicated the machine would be returned but demanded answers regarding the missing funds and the machine's operational status.
