Star Wars: Zero Company brings tactical RPG combat to the Clone Wars

Star Wars: Zero Company is a turn-based tactical strategy game developed by Bit Reactor, a studio founded by former XCOM developers. Set during the final stages of the Clone Wars, the game follows a customizable commander named Hawks who leads a diverse mercenary group consisting of clones, smugglers, bounty hunters, and Jedi.

The narrative centers on the crew's struggle against a mysterious cult known as the Coil, which is spreading a phenomenon called the Shadow Plague. While the gameplay mechanics—including action points, positioning, and cover—are heavily inspired by the XCOM series, the game emphasizes character-driven storytelling and interpersonal relationships between squad members. These bonds can provide mechanical benefits to character abilities, adding depth to the tactical combat and the consequences of permadeath.
