Stara Zagora Municipality announces IVF funding for 2026

The Stara Zagora Municipal Council has announced the opening of applications for financial assistance for assisted reproduction procedures for the year 2026. The program is designed to support families, couples in de facto partnerships, and women without partners who are facing reproductive challenges.

Applications will be accepted from September 14 to October 14, 2026, at the Stara Zagora Municipality building. To qualify, applicants must be Bulgarian citizens who have maintained a permanent or current address within the municipality for at least the last three years.

Key eligibility requirements include having continuous health insurance rights, no outstanding financial obligations to the state or the municipality, a clean criminal record, and proven infertility that can only be treated through assisted reproduction methods such as IVF or ICSI. Additionally, candidates must not have received funding from another fund for the same procedure during the current year.
