Stara Zagora Municipality increases financial support for assisted reproduction

The Stara Zagora Municipality is providing financial assistance to families and couples facing reproductive challenges. During an open house event at the New Life Nia Med In Vitro Center, officials detailed the support mechanisms available through a specialized commission of the Municipal Council.

In 2025, 19 couples received support totaling 57,000 BGN, averaging 3,000 BGN per family. For 2026, the financial aid per family has been increased to 2,045 EUR. The initiative aims to improve access to information regarding reproductive health, including egg freezing, family planning, and assisted reproduction procedures.

Anton Tonev, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council, attended the event to explain the application requirements and the municipality's commitment to supporting families through these medical processes.
