Stara Zagora Municipality to honor educators

The Stara Zagora Municipality will host a traditional gala ceremony on October 27 at the Stara Zagora Cultural Center to recognize outstanding members of the educational community. Organized in partnership with the Regional Management of Education and the Union of Scientists, the event takes place ahead of the National Revival Day on November 1.

Key awards to be presented include the ‘Anastasia Tosheva’ plaque, which recognizes high achievements in education, and the ‘Young Teacher’ plaque. The ceremony will also feature awards from the Regional Management of Education and the ‘Awakener of Stara Zagora’ distinction established by the Union of Scientists.

Nominees for the ‘Anastasia Tosheva’ plaque include Maria Gorcheva-Nedelkova, head of the Ninth Primary School ‘Veselin Khanchev’, and a team from the ‘Ivan Vazov’ Secondary School for their work on a film about teacher Atanas Ivanov.
