Stara Zagora Opera to debut new Swan Lake production

The State Opera Stara Zagora will present Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake on November 11 at 19:00. The performance features a new scenography by artist Ivan Tokadzhiev and costumes by Denis Ivanov.

This production serves as the final opportunity for local audiences to view the ballet this year before the company and orchestra embark on their fifth tour of the Netherlands, scheduled from December 7, 2026, to January 17, 2027. The performance is conducted by maestro Vladimir Boshnakov and features Alessia Bakin as Odette and Odile, Fiordi Loha as Prince Siegfried, Daniele Centorbi as Rothbart, and Tristan Eymard as the Jester.

Under the leadership of prima ballerina Silvia Tomova, Swan Lake has been a signature production for the multinational ballet troupe since the 2016/2017 season.
