Stara Zagora police dismantle high-tech marijuana greenhouse

Police in Stara Zagora have dismantled a high-tech marijuana cultivation laboratory in the village of Zmeyevo. During a specialized operation targeting drug-related crimes, officers inspected a property occupied by a 45-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman.

Investigators discovered a hidden door leading to a sophisticated greenhouse used for growing cannabis. Authorities seized 368 plants of varying heights, cultivation supplies, and approximately 70 kilograms of marijuana, including two freezers containing 1-kilogram packages.

The two suspects were detained for 24 hours, and a pre-trial investigation has been launched under the supervision of the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor's Office for violations of the Law on Control of Narcotic Substances and Precursors and illegal possession of marijuana for distribution.
