Stara Zagora to host ninth Zdravei, Zdrave! festival

The ninth edition of the ‘Zdravei, Zdrave!’ festival is scheduled to take place on October 10 and 11 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. The event will be held at the Augusta Traiana Ancient Forum and the Zahari Kniazheski Regional Library.

Operating under the motto ‘One is Us’, the festival focuses on health, shared values, Bulgarian traditions, and intergenerational continuity. Organized by the ‘Zdravei, Zdrave’ Association, chaired by Boryana Uzunova, and supported by the Stara Zagora Municipality, the program emphasizes healthy living and the involvement of youth in traditional customs.

The festivities will begin on Saturday with a parade featuring various local groups, including the Baga-Tur Old Bulgarian School and the Panchev bagpipe ensemble. Following traditional morning gymnastics, a lecture program will feature specialists, writers, and lecturers discussing health, nature, personal development, and Bulgarian heritage. Musical performances by the vocal group ‘Zarana’ are also included in the program.
