Stara Zagora W50 tennis tournament sees 11 Bulgarian players advance

Eleven Bulgarian female tennis players advanced to the second round of qualifying at the W50 international tournament in Stara Zagora. The event, held at the TC Augusta Trayana courts, features a prize pool of $40,000.

Among the winners were 15-year-olds Raya Markova and Ilina Ilieva, who secured their first victories in the World Tennis Tour women's circuit. Other Bulgarian players progressing through the first round include Andreya Glushkova, Rafaela Simeonova, Aleksa Karatancheva, Daniela Dimitrova, Yoana Moneva, Valeria Garnevska, Teodora Naydenova, Dariya Velikova, and Elena Papadopulu.

This competition marks the fifth W50 tournament hosted by Bulgaria this year, following previous events in Haskovo, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, and Burgas. The winner of the tournament will earn 50 points toward the world rankings.
