Starbucks India faces hygiene scrutiny after fly found in drink
A content creator in Delhi has raised hygiene concerns after discovering a dead fly attached to a piece of strawberry in a Rs 500 Starbucks beverage. The incident, shared via an Instagram video, has sparked widespread online debate regarding food handling and quality standards at premium cafes.
While the specific outlet or timing of the purchase was not disclosed, the video prompted social media users to tag the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to request an investigation. In response to the viral post, Starbucks India expressed regret over the incident and attempted to contact the customer for further details. TATA Starbucks stated that its internal review has found no lapses in hygiene or processes so far.
