Starbucks to reopen at Maine Mall in South Portland

Starbucks announced that it will return to the Maine Mall, the largest shopping center in the state of Maine. After exiting the mall in early 2024, the coffee chain plans to occupy a new location next to LIDS and Aeropostale as an extension of the food‑court area. The previous space became vacant after the retailer What The Actual Fudge moved elsewhere.

No specific opening date has been set, but the mall website lists the Starbucks outlet as “coming soon.” The development comes amid a broader presence of Starbucks drive‑through locations nearby, including one across the street and another planned in the Marden’s plaza.
